At home in the Market Theater at Seattle’s Historic Pike Place Market, Unexpected Productions (UP) has brought comedy to a whole new level for more than 30 years! The first in the country to introduce Theatersports, UP fuses audience suggestions to craft the story and scenes of a show.
Using the techniques of legendary comedians, Keith Johnstone and Del Close, UP has created its own ‘Seattle style’ of improv. In addition to shows, they continue to promote the art of improvisation through education. UP’s Improv School provides workshops and classes for students around the world through their 6 levels of courses and performances. From Talk Soup and Friends, to Community and Frasier, UPAlumni demonstrate talent and true grit in the world of comedy improv!
