Due to our passion for accurately displaying the amazing foods our producers have to offer, we cannot always accommodate dietary restrictions.
We certainly do our best, and many places have options, but a few favorites of ours simply do not. Please reach out to us if you have any questions to see if you like what we have to offer.
Substitutions must be requested in advance with your ticket purchase.
All tastings have been prepared in advance at each location, based on the information you provided to us at the time of ticket purchase. Last-minute dietary changes on tour will not be accommodated. This is a carefully choreographed food ballet!
We work with the best food purveyors. Keeping things streamlined ensures guests have a consistently high-quality experience. Some partners see us up to 12 times a day, so we want to minimize mistakes.
There isn’t always a “next-best” option that meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. Because we have your health (and palate!) in mind, we truly appreciate your understanding on this issue.
IF YOU HAVE SERIOUS FOOD ALLERGIES, please contact us or call us at 206-338-1841 before purchasing tickets for any of our food tours or events.
Yes! If we know in advance, we will do our best to make appropriate substitutions for you on all tours.
You will taste foods and beverages that each destination is famous for, and you’ll taste some that are just unique and hard to find anywhere else.
For specific details on what is sampled, visit our tours page.
Our tours include six to eight tasting locations, with 11-13 tastings (depends on the tour type) along the way.
All Savor Food Tours offer numerous bite-size tastings and visit a variety of styles of restaurants, artisan shops, and hot spots.
Yes! Each tour page lists the specific beverages included on that tour.
Please note that tastings may change depending on a producer’s availability.
Yes! If we know in advance, we will do our best to make appropriate nonalcoholic substitutions for you on the tours.
There are a few beverage tastings on the tours. We encourage guests to bring a reusable bottle filled with water to the tours.
Alternatively, bottled water is available for purchase at all meeting locations.
It truly depends on you and your appetite. For most, we recommend that you eat a light meal before joining us for the tours.
The amount of food sampled on the tours is significant enough that many people delay or skip lunch afterward or opt for a later dinner, depending on the tour time.
Most food tastings are not guaranteed kosher.
Absolutely not! You will taste locally made foods and beverages that will awaken your palate while learning about and meeting the storied characters and vendors that give the city life.
Soak up the rich and vibrant history that even locals don’t know about!

Savor Food Tours operates on a no-tipping model. Instead of optional gratuities, we include a 20% service charge that is retained by Savor Food Tours.
This allows us to compensate our guides with industry-leading wages for their expertise and storytelling, provide ongoing training, and maintain high-quality experiences.
Because guide compensation is built into our model, no additional tip is expected or required.
If you’d like to show extra appreciation, leaving a 5-star Google review and mentioning your guide by name is another way to support them. That helps our guides earn All-Star status and recognition within our team.
No additional gratuity is expected or required. Everything related to your guide’s compensation is already included.
We know a guide can make or break your experience, and that’s why we invest deeply in the people who lead our tours.
Every Savor guide completes a minimum of 10 apprentice tours, meets ongoing education requirements, and is trained as a professional storyteller before leading tours independently.
Our All-Star Guides go even further, earning more than 100 five-star reviews annually, volunteering in the community, and building one-on-one relationships with local vendors.
We’re confident in our guides, and we want you to be, too. If you don’t have a great experience with your guide, your next Savor tour is on us. Just reach out at help@savorfoodtours.com and we’ll make it right.
Every Savor tour is backed by our Guide Guarantee.

Who Can Attend
Yes! Children are welcome on most of our tours. However, please keep in mind that some children may have a limited attention span, so longer tours or events (typically 2–3 hours) may not be suitable.
Parents know their children best and should assess each situation. Most tours involve standing and walking, so consider this when deciding whether the experience is appropriate for your child.
- Ticketing. Children 2 years old or younger who will not eat do not require a ticket. Children 3 years and older must have a ticket, even if they will not eat.
- Accessibility. Depending on the tour, strollers may not be permitted, and wheelchairs may not be recommended due to crowds, tight spaces, or narrow sidewalks. If you have questions about accessibility for a specific tour, please contact us directly.
- Pike Place Market tours. The Market is a historic district, so some areas are not fully ADA accessible. Tours in Pike Place Market may include uneven cobblestone streets, staircases, and small, crowded businesses that are not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
Due to the various food establishments we visit, pets of any kind are not allowed.
The walking tours require a certain level of physical stamina. Please plan that you will be standing for most of the tour (2-2.5 hours) and possibly spending time in direct sunlight.
We recommend comfortable footwear and a bottle of water. Water will also be for sale at the meeting location.
Tastings are on the go, and seating opportunities are limited and sporadic.
Definitely! Many of our attendees live right in the city.
Locals often join us to learn about the great food finds in the heart and soul of the city that have been under their noses the entire time! Your city is brimming with lively tales and history that will surprise you.

This designation recognizes guides who exemplify our highest standards of hospitality, storytelling, and community engagement.
We don’t grant All-Star status lightly. Each year, guides must earn it through performance, professionalism, and commitment to the communities we operate in.
To qualify as a Savor All-Star Guide, guides must do the following:
- Receive 100 five-star guest reviews or achieve a 5-star rating for every tour given.
- Volunteer at least 5 hours with a local partner charity.
- Participate in three partner enrichment programs to deepen their knowledge and skills.
- Complete peer reviews—giving two and receiving two—to support continuous learning and collaboration.
This program helps ensure that when you tour with Savor, you’re learning from guides who are not only exceptional storytellers but also deeply invested in our community, our partners, and the quality of your experience.
When you see an All-Star Guide button, you can trust that you’re in very good hands.
