Smoky, old-world aromas pervade the Deutsch-style deli. Everything
in the meat case is made locally, just two blocks away. There’s

to pass up! |

 |
The
Confectional
Offering rich, dense, “in your face” kind of cheesecake,
The Confectional is one of the newest tasty additions to the Pike
Place Market. They use all-natural ingredients, cage-free
eggs, and no hydrogenated oils. And if you can’t handle
an individual-sized cheesecake, opt for a cheesecake truffle or
a shot of their über delicious Colombian hot chocolate. |
|
Creminelli
Meats
Creminelli meats are handmade under
the supervision of master artisan, Cristiano Creminelli.
Cristiano insists on using choice cuts of meat from select
breeds, fed with organic white grains and raised on small
family farms. Organic spices are employed cautiously in the
European tradition to complement and not overwhelm the flavorful,
well-marbled natural pork. The pure goodness of natural raw
materials from America, and the unhurried care of Creminelli
artistry come together to make an unforgettable carnivorous experience. |
|
Daily
Dozen Doughnuts
These are the best doughnuts money can buy. At this little doughnut
cart, you can watch your mini-doughnuts get fried to crispy perfection.
If you like em’ hot, then Cinnamon Sugar and Plain are for
you. For cooled down options, try their Chocolate Sprinkles
and Powdered Sugar. |
|
Etta’s
Seafood Restaurant
Famous Seattle chef and restaurateur, Tom Douglas, never fails
to impress with his love for fresh fish and seafood from the Pacific
Northwest's abundant waters. The Dungeness crab cakes are mucho
tasty, as well as the “rub-with-love” wild king salmon
served with cornbread pudding and shiitake relish. His signature
Triple Coconut Cream Pie may very well be the best dessert in Seattle. |
|
Frank’s
Quality Produce
Four generations of Genzales have owned and operated this high
stall produce stand since 1928. Year round, you can buy fresh
fruits and vegetables from all over the world. The real treat is
being able to buy the freshest local produce, with the
offerings changing daily and with the seasons. If you find
that you just can’t live without Frank’s bounty, never
fear. You can order gift baskets filled with Frank’s goods
to be shipped to you just about anywhere. |
 |
Gelatiamo
Gelatiamo is an authentic Italian gelateria offering gelato,
Italian pastries and coffee. Ever tried Gorgonzola gelato? Tastes
just like it should, we promise. All the gelato is made on-site
daily from recipes developed by owner Maria Coassin. They always
display sixteen flavors of gelato and sorbetto, but in total
make over 40 different flavors (many of which are seasonal). |
|
Pike
Brewing Company
On the cutting edge of the Northwest craft brewery scene, Pike
Brewing Company makes all of their delicious brews on-site
at Pike Place Market. Over twelve different beers, and
wonderful cuisine to boot. |
|
Pike
Place Fish
There’s so much more to these guys than just hootin’,
hollerin’, and fish throwin’! Of course you can find
the freshest and biggest selection of seafood at Pike Place Fish,
and have it shipped anywhere in the world or prepped to be brought
on the plane with you. But the icing on the cake (or shall
we say, scales on the fish?) is that every fishmonger here is committed
to making a difference in your life. Ask them about their
fish philosophy! |
|
Piroshky
Piroshky
You simply can’t walk by within a half block radius of Piroshky-Piroshky
without being overtaken by the tempting smell of these fresh, Russian
piroshkies and pastries. Ask for what’s fresh out of the
oven and you likely won’t be disappointed. |
|
Place
Pigalle Restaurant
To the far left of the brouhaha of Pike Place Fish, you’ll
find this cute place tucked down a narrow hallway. With only 54
seats available, this is a quintessential romantic date-night sort
of place. Nab a table by the window and you will be in awe of the
sweeping views of Elliott Bay. Try their signature Mussels Pigalle
dressed with bacon, celery, shallots and a balsamic vinaigrette.
Bacon and mussels? Shear genius. |
|
Seattle’s
Best Coffee
The founders of Seattle's Best were some of the early coffee pioneers. In
the beginning, the coffee was roasted in an old peanut roaster
down on the Seattle waterfront. In those days, the Northwest
was such a hotbed of competing coffee styles that a local restaurant
held a taste-off to crown "the best cup of coffee in Seattle." No
surprise, Seattle’s Best Coffee took first place. |
|
Serious
Pie
Tom Douglas’ newest restaurant is a warm, intimate space
with tumbled stone tiles on the walls, a lofty timber frame ceiling
hung with black wrought iron chandeliers, and dramatic slabs
of natural stone framing an apple-wood burning oven. Order a
pizza, a simple but “serious” pie, brought to life
on a blistered crust, lightly textured but with just enough structure
and bite, and with exactly the right amount of “serious” toppings
like their own house-made mozzarella, sausage and pancetta, as
well as foraged mushrooms, local clams, and farmers market produce. |
|
Theo
Chocolates
As true chocolate makers, Theo Chocolates
carefully steward their cacao (cocoa beans) through the process
of roasting, blending and conching in order to coax out the
distinctive flavor imparted by each unique growing region.
They are proud to be the first roaster of Fair Trade Certified™ cocoa
beans and the only roaster of organic cocoa beans in the United
States. |
